Adopting Help me name my new addition!

Today I adopted a new piggy. I have been looking at her for weeks, but I was hesitant to do it for several reasons, not the least of which was the loss of my Duchess back in December. I truly did not want to love another pig. But I felt drawn to this one for some reason, so here we are. And I have wanted a pink-eyed pig for a long, long time. She's the first crested pig I've ever had. Now I need help naming her; any suggestions are appreciated!

(Yes, she is in a pet store cage right now, but only temporarily for quarantine.)

It's been a while since I studied eyes.

I think it's because of a lack of pigment in the eye, so the light reflects off the back of the eye and you can see the blood vessels, which makes it look pink. But I might be wrong.

When people say they don't like pink-eyed pigs, I always say we all have pink/red eyes underneath, and that pink-eyed piggies are just more honest.

Hey everybody, thanks for all the suggestions. I've decided her name is Pearl. Since she was brought in with a male, there's a good chance we'll have babies here soon. I hope not but I know the odds.

Should I wait until I'm sure she's not pregnant before introducing her to my herd?

I would go ahead and introduce her after her quarantine is over. The only time I would wait on introductions due to pregnancy is if the sow is very heavily pregnant.

I agree with @Soecara, there shouldn't be any problem with introducing them. If she ends up being pregnant, the other pigs will help take care of the babies. I really like the name Pearl by the way

She doesn't appear pregnant at the moment but I don't know exactly when she was last with a male, so we'll have to wait and see. I might cut quarantine short. I know the risk involved, but she's so fearful and I think being with other pigs might help. I can ask the lady I got her from, but I don't think she's been around any new animals in the past month. But I have until Wednesday to decide. That's the first day I'll have time for introductions.
