My almost-6 year old wanted to see the pigs before bed, lol. I am not sure how excited the pigs were that he went into their house. haha

@Kelly9

I see you have one of those "Snak-Shack" log hidey houses for your Pigs. Take it out. They aren't good for the Guinea Pigs.

It is right near your son's right hand in that picture.

Cute! Thanks for the share!

When I built my first double decker cage, I decided to add an I beam under the second level for support. The easiest way to do it was for me to climb right in. I left the pigs in there because I figured they wouldn't mind. Not only did they not mind, they proceeded to start nibbling on my bare toes..... I couldn't get out of there fast enough..... ouch.... Your son looks really cute in there.

awwww so adorable!! I have actually gotten in my pigs cage before and hand fed them some veggies. At first they were like "OMG it's it's so big what kind of guinea pig are YOU!!!!!!" and afterwards they were like "wait I recognize you! what in world are you doing in our house eh who cares you have veggies!" I had them well mainly Lizzie as Marie's a bit more skittish jumping up on my leg for some veggies lol silly piggies.

Um might I ask why you have a roll of toilet paper in your pigs cage?

Uhm, actually, if the pigs aren't eating it, then it doesn't hurt them. I have one, and have had it for months in their cage. They haven't chewed on it one bit, and actually like to lie in it. Her pigs haven't appeared to chew on it, so she should be absolutely fine.

They don't eat it. The baby nibbled a little bit, but both of them just run through it.

After I posted I thought that looked a bit strange. I grab a little bit of it to sweep the poops into the dust pan or soak up some urine on the fleece. The brush that came with the dust pan snags on the fleece. I usually keep it below, but got lazy. that's what I get! lol

Such cute pics! Was your hubby hiding and getting some extra sleep? haha that is a pretty long cage for an adult to lay in there.

The cage is 8 feet long. My husband was playing hide and seek with the kids. This was taken before the glue for the linoleum on the bottom level had set so the cage had not been used yet.

Here is my oversized piggie in a cage... excuse the almost butt crack showing! :D It isn't the best pic. I snapped it with my crappy phone camera. That was back when we had the ramp and loft. She was trying to get a piggie out from the fleece forest. She climbed right on in!

Haha! I do this sometimes too :eek: Broccoli doesn't mind, as long as I am armed with veggies!
