Chat How old are you as a guinea pig owner?

Its gonna be a crazy year!!! :-D

34 year old female, working as a Medical Technologist in a hospital laboratory. I have 3 piggies and 4 cats. I first got piggies after I read an online article about a woman in England, I think, that had about 100 guinea pigs because they kept breeding. I don't think it was a case of hoarding; things just got out of control quickly. I remembered how much I loved my guinea pig I had when I was a teenager and started looking into getting another one. Now that I know how to properly care for a guinea pig I am mortified at how my past one was taken care of. I dwell on it often

I am thirteen, and have one piggy right now. Most people are younger, and almost all are females. Nice how there is a variety of ages!

I'm 22 in 2 weeks, these are my first pigs!

I'm 26 and used to think guinea pigs made awful anti-social pets but then they got to me and now I'm a Cavy Slave through and through. When I'm not sewing, building, baking or dicing veg for them I'm usually watching them interact. They just never get boring...I'm pretty sure they're magical imps whose purpose is to spread joy and poop across the land.

I am 21 years old and Belle and Lilly are my first guinea pigs ever and I love them! I have only had them about 2-3 months now I am convinced my boyfriend loves them too ;-)

I am in high school, But I got my girls when I was 12. I might of seen a little young but I am very mature.

I'm 55. For years I had a dog, but finally her time came to cross the rainbow bridge. Two years passed before I even considered adopting another pet. Now I have "the boys".

It's interesting to see all the different ages on here. I'm 14 and I got my first pigs when I was 12.

I'm 14 and got my first pigs at twelve but they died from some issue (I think it was genetics or something like that) and recently got back into it with two beauty's Dan(May or May not be named after Dan Howell lol) a neutered boar and Tiger my little girl.
I guess because I do t have a job (naw) I will say my hobbies. I enjoy Gaelic football, art and watching youtubers, I am a professional fangirl

i've kept different small animals since i was 16 i'm 30 now, have had chock for almost 2 years!!! :O i love them very much...

I'm 21 and have had my current pigs for anywhere between 6 ish months and 3ish years. Other than that I had 3 piggies prior to and have had numerous small animals long before my current piggies.

I'm 19, and I've had guinea pigs since I was 5

I'm young (preteen) and got my first piggie when I was 5. (My mom supervised until I was 7) I now have a trio of an 9 month old a 7 month old and a 5 week old who is all mine (I'm very mature)
