Just got him yesterday. Very very soft fur. Very small. But i think he's still just a baby. He was the only one with light colored fur. And he didn't have as dark of a nose as the others.

I'm not sure what kind he is but he is VERY cute :) Also that cage is far too small for a rabbit and he needs hay 24/7 I don't see any.

Ahh I got it! You should look into the C&C cages they work great with rabbits except the walls need to be 2-3 grids tall instead of of one. He is adorable makes me miss having rabbits they are so much fun!

He eats like a pig. Ill fill his bowl with hay and pellets and he sits there and eats it all and waits for more.

I don't think a bowl for hay is enough of a rabbit.. They should have unlimited amount.. Like Guinea pigs. Correct me someone if I'm worng..

@Shellyinsc: Just by looking at the coloration and his ear shape, he could either be a Silver or a Palomino breed. Here's a list of all the official rabbit (as well as cavy) breeds in the US if you want to take a look:

You're absolutely right RodentsRus. Rabbits are essentially the same as guinea pigs when it comes to dietary needs. Please make sure he has full access to hay 24/7 Shellyinsc.

The adult rabbits that were with the babies weren't much bigger than the babies. Looked to be about the size as a youth football. They weren't big at all.

A guinea pig is smaller than a rabbit but still needs a large amount of space any pet store rabbit cage is too small. I am not trying to be mean this is just information I would like you to have as for the first 6 or so years of my rabbits life she was in a tiny store cage without the proper diet and I regret not learning more in the begining!

I still can't get over how cute he is. But yes he should have access to long stranded hay all the time its to keep their digestive Tract going if it stops it could be very bad once it stops its hard to get it going again and its to keep his back teeth down as they will over grow which could stop him from eating causing him to starve to death pretty much

the cage will only be for sleeping and eating, going to the bathroom. i plan on letting it roam most of the time. as he grows ill get a bigger cage. i just bought a leash and harness to take him outside with. hes eating alfalfa hay right now which was suggested by the vet. and i just put a big ball of it in there

Alfalfa is a supplement only, it's a legume like peas & beans & not a hay. He needs a long strand grass hay at all times.
He's absolutely adorable. :) Make sure you build him a C&C cage as soon as you can, almost all pet store cages are much too small & extremely overpriced. I wouldn't keep a dwarf rabbit in anything smaller than a 2 grid high 2x5 C&C.

well the vet said to give him alfalfa hay which is long stranded and to help him grow, until he is a little bigger then to give him timothy hay.

The vet is incorrect. While he needs calcium either from some alfalfa hay, alfalfa pellets or a few springs of parsley, he also needs grass hay at all times.

Oh my gosh he is too freakin cute I want to bunnynap him :)

the vet doesn't sound like an exotics vet I would get Timothy hay or another long stranded hay asap, like yesterday lol, the alfalfa doesn't grind his teeth down.
