  4. Nutrition: Re: What is the best treat to feed your guinea pig if your training it?

if you've sampled different fruits and vegetables with your guinea pig, you should know what they like the most. I'd use those favorite fruits/veggies as treats! My guinea pig loves apples, but of...

Behavior: Re: How to teach pigs to use 2nd floor?

yeah from personal experience, it just takes time. Like what pigger123 did, i would lead my guinea pig up using treats and i think that sped the process up vs. lifting and putting them up there. They...

Won't Eat Veggies: Re: One piggie won't eat bell pepper anymore.

Break off the vitamin C tablets into smaller pieces and make sure they get around 30MG vitamin C a day. If your vitamin C comes in 100MG tablets, try to break it into 3 or 4 equal sized pieces.

    Re: Anonymous blog

Just sign up using a pen name (fake name) and never mention your real name or information. That would make it "anonymous." But...you should share your blog with us anyway :)

Cage: Re: dimensions of piggy bed

I guess just make sure the bed fits your whole guinea pig comfortably while being reasonable. You wouldn't want it taking up too much space in the cage or not fitting your guinea pig's complete body.

Seems right, but those tablets contain 500mg of vitamin C. Doesn't a guinea pig only need 10-15mg of vitamin C a day?

Mouth: Re: Wet chin, no signs of drooling

One of my guinea pig has occasionally had a wet mouth. It really confused me at first, but i came to the conclusion that it was from sloppy drinking out of his water bottle.
  15. Grooming: Re: What is the proper way to clean guinea pigs ears? And more.

Actually some short haired guinea pigs go on their whole lives without bathing. 1 to 3 times a year sounds about right though.

  21. Re: "We had Guinea Pigs had I was a kid and never....."

It's quite unfortunate guinea pigs aren't able to speak out native tongue, otherwise they'd be expressing how miserable they are under those circumstances.
