Hair Loss: Re: Rescue with mites? HELP

Thank you for all of the info. I will do what I can to find a vet somewhere nearby, but I'm in a rural area and I'm pretty lucky to find a good vet for my dog... much less guinea pigs.

    Hopefully...

Hair Loss: Re: Rescue with mites? HELP

I don't think that I have any vets for small/exotic animals in my area! There's nothing else I can try?

Hair Loss: Rescue with mites? HELP

I've recently acquired a poorly neglected guinea pig. He's not too badly underweight, but his hair is very patchy and his skin seems dry/flaky. He will also occasionally "scream" as though in pain....

    What to do!?

Later this month I'll be leaving for about a week to see my uncle at his marriage. My parents were thinking about hiring the kid next door to watch the cavies (which was bad enough) but now they want...

My piggies are so much bigger now! They're still small for cavies... I think, but their mom was the same way. They're otherwise plump and happy, though I have been very careful not to give too much....

Tons have said it, but no reason for me not to: I deeply lament your loss, though I am sure I could never know what you are going through.

That's sickening. The one involving Mooie is especially disturbing for me since I live in the area. The massacre involving several human death that just happened a day or two ago is especially scary...
