thanx guys!. I'm glad to hear he'll be alright.
Ok so my pig got injured a couple of days ago and his upper teeth were loose...
sadly i checked his teeth again yesterday, and lo and behold the poor pigs upper right tooth is now gone (no...
My poor pig got hurt! I was putting him back into his cage (approaching it) when he literally leaped out of my arms (I had him what I thought was securely). The fellow landed on my carpet but...
they did a skin scraping and determined it was not mites. They gave him antibiotics for a sniffle instead.
Its been like a month.
I think the wound however, was froma couple weeks ago...
Hello everyone!
My poor piggie goes absolutely nuts when I pet his neck. I can barely touch it and he goes psycho on me trying to run away and scream. When i pick him up I notice that he feels...
Last night I woke up to find my two pigs in a brawl.
They (two males) have been getting along relitively good (just some butt strutting and the ocassional attempt to mate with dominace gig). ...
mine act weirded out when you pick them up.. I think its normal. One of mine even screams! I use a designated "guinea towel" since one of them always pees on me after about 5 minutes of being held....
Well I took my poor pigs into the vet yesterday. They did a skin scraping/culture to see if they had mites or lice.. but nothing came up. The doctor was more concerned since one of them sneezed. ...
he lives with another cavy, however, he had these prior to the introduction of the other cavy.
I'm taking the poor guy to the vet tomorrow.
as for the bedding- I use towels since the carefresh kept getting everywhere and it was $$$. I suck up the poop w/ a dustbuster on a daily basis...
He does scratch. He tends to sneeze maybe 1x a day. He also appears to get really itchy and then gnaws his fur on his back end.
i'm near the OC/ LB area
Ok here is a picture of whatever it is that is afflicting my pig.
any solid ideas? (I'd rather not treat him for everything in the book). If its mites or lice for sure let me know.
this is...
Ok my old pig (the one that may have a mental disorder/blindess) off and on gets to scratching and chewing his own back. (this is weird) . About 1 or 2 times each week I'll be petting him and I...
i'n not sure how old he is, he weights around 2.5 pounds though. He is able to sniff out his food and water, so he'll be fine in that respect. I set him on the carpet for exercise every day.. ...
Ok it may not be the nicest of thread titles.. but I am seriously wondering about my pig and if something is wrong with him. I let the poor critter exercise, but he doesn't budge. For example:
...
you can roll that stuff? I'll have to check it out. I couldn't roll it for the love of me when I bought it. Heck I had a hard time trying to fold up the sides :)
I can't expand the cage horizontally since my car is far too small to carry a sheet of coroplast that big... But I have more grids.
they have 7.5 square feet.
think making it 2 stories would helP?
Going by the guildlines and all provided on this website.. :)
Its not a pet store cage. Its a C and C cage that I built for them.
It is a large cage. I think they may be just strange pigs.
Ok, so now I have two male pigs in a large cage. They seem to get along alright, (except for the rumblestrutting and occasional guinea-man love) however whenever I take out the dominate one, the...
no rabbit can even reach an avacado.., and they dont just randomly fall off the tree either.
you know how tall the trees are?
I think its pigs and the whole fruit thing. You know nibble the...
yeah our bunnies were kept outside since my mom had/ still has severe allergies to rabbits. They never got sore hocks though, my guess is because most of the time they were not in their cages.
