It has been awhile since I've been on here, hasn't it?
Last time I was here I had my trio but since then I have lost both the head girl Smacko along with fatty girl Cutie.
Now I've gone down to a...
  2. Urine: Re: blood in urine or normal young guinea pig urine?

I'll certainly keep an eye on her but you may be right, seems to just be from the air/her being young. She seems fine at the moment and is enjoying her floor time with the other girls, plenty of ...
  3. Urine: Re: blood in urine or normal young guinea pig urine?

My mistake, he doesn't do desexing of guinea pigs but he does have fellow vets in the clinic that come from small animal practices, quite a lot actually.
  4. Urine: Re: blood in urine or normal young guinea pig urine?

No squeaking when urinating or anything like that and doesn't seem to come up straight away, 3-5 minutes later is when it seems to show the colour.
I think I might get her checked, I'll have to see...
  5. Urine: blood in urine or normal young guinea pig urine?

Yesterday I noticed orange/red stains on a tea towel I am using in my guinea pigs c & c cage. I haven't seen it on any of the others so maybe it's just cause it's a lighter one? I've usually got a...
  6. Re: Australian,Vic rabbit desexing: Keysborough animal shelter VS Pets on Elgar VS R

Do you have the prices for the desexing? And whether keysborough gives pain meds like I've heard they are meant to ?(correct me if I'm wrong)

If it was just one bun I'd probably go straight to...

  9. Wood Pellets/Chips: Re: Fleece and Wood pellets: Love it or hate it?

Honestly I am not fazed by the noises they make plus the pellets will be under fleece which reduces the sound. They already like to wheek in the middle of the night and randomly get up to have a...
  10. Wood Pellets/Chips: Re: Fleece and Wood pellets: Love it or hate it?

Although the bags that are available at this time of year arn't as cheap as I'd like I still plan on having them in my cage, thanks everyone!
  11. Wood Pellets/Chips: Re: Anyone used this brand of wood pellet litter?

I wasn't sure if they were indeed kiln dried or not as I've never used wood pellets at all so if you guys believe they are then that is great ^-^

  14. Wood Pellets/Chips: Anyone used this brand of wood pellet litter?

It seems that because it is still summer over here in Australia getting wood pellets for things like wood fires are just not happening. I did find this brand of wood pellets used as litter not only...
  15. Coroplast: Re: 2.5 mm (millimeters) a suitable corflute thickness?

Okay that's good to know then, if I had to I'd clip the corflute to the grids anyway so if the table (which is solid as you can get) and the grids are enough to support the corflute then I will be...

    Re: Oxbow sells in Australia?

  18. Coroplast: 2.5 mm (millimeters) a suitable corflute thickness?

So I've been looking around for some decent priced corflute for a while now and recently found a 2440mm x 1220mm sheet for $11.

  25. Wood Pellets/Chips: Re: Fleece and Wood pellets: Love it or hate it?

These pellets come up pretty quickly in Google and since it's close by I'd probably even be able to go in and skip the delivery cost, although they seem to be out of stock at the moment (probably...
