Fleece: Re: Handheld machine for fleece?

Towels dry fast by themselves but sewing them to fleece usually makes them tougher to dry. Be prepared to have to dry them for a couple hours every time!
Although with that said, my homemade fleece...

    Re: New To Guinea Pigs

One by himself is still better than the 8 together in a small cage. Maybe put his cage next to the other males to temporarily solve the issue.
Those piggies are so lucky you found them and rescued...

Genitals: Re: Help Sexing 4 week old guinea pigs!

Feel above their generals for a hard vertical ridge. If it's there, then you got boys. If it's soft and smooth, then girls.
  5. General: Re: What are you guys getting your pigs for xmas?

More forage cause they ran out, and I'm hoping to find Christmas fleece for their cage. I haven't had any luck with that yet.

  9. Say What?: Re: Would ultrasonic rodent repeller bother indoor piggies if it was outside the hous

Ya'll. I did more research and panicked for a second. What I said earlier was invalid. There are none in my room. There's a wall in between my piggies and the repeller. The repeller is not good for...
  10. Cage: Re: Where can I find cheap supplies to make my own cage?

C&C cages are relatively cheap. I bought shelving grids from walmart for $25 or so and a giant sheet of coroplast from Home Depot for $20. I made my own. Then you could use whatever bedding you want...
  11. Say What?: Re: Would ultrasonic rodent repeller bother indoor piggies if it was outside the hous

Oof I didnt think of those being an issue. We have them everywhere in my house.... They have never bothered my pigs from what I can tell.

Behavior: Re: Having Trouble With Adopted Pigs

I would say they both just need time to adjust. Go a few days without taking them out. Maybe just feed them while they are in the cage. Give them treats in the cage. And lay your hand to just rest in...

    Cage: Re: Guinea Pig Flooring

Thats what I was thinking. Apparently they are vet aproved in Brazil but thats the only thing I've heard. I feel like the toes getting stuck would be an issue :/ not to mention the fact its not solid...

    Re: I'm so sorry.

Dont be too hard on yourself. Im so sorry this has happened. I lost my dog, Wispie, by letting her outside and she was attacked by a loose dog down the street. Sadly, it happens and we have to grieve...

Adopting: Re: I got new pigs, everybody!

Yea they definitely sound like they are 2 1/2 to 3 months old. With them being such little babies still you probably could just put them in the new cage set up and be fine. They probably would love...

Cage: Re: Would this be a big enough cage?

That cage is more expensive than the c&c cage I built for myself. I bought $27 grids and a huge $19 coroplast sheet. The sheet i bought could have made a 2x4 grid or greater cage. Plenty of room for...

Adopting: Re: I got new pigs, everybody!

To answer your questions, I personally think it would be fine to introduce them in the new pigpen. If theres no other piggy smell in there you're right to say its neutral territory.
    Your guess is...
