I'm glad both mama's are ok, and most of the pups. I am also very, very sorry about Gus, and Percy. I very much wish they had been dealt a better hand. I know you will do right by all of them...

Conditions: Re: Bianka Bella medical concerns thread

That weight loss isn't huge, especially in the time frame.

But that loss, coupled with the lethargy and disinterest in food and treats, would have me personally inclined to have her checked.

    Sick: Re: Penicillin G Injections

Stay the course, heftysmurf. Smokey needs you and I can imagine how frustrated you are. All I can say is keep trying. Believe me, if the borders were open I would send you to Dr Ker in a heartbeat....

    Re: Hello

Your boys are absolutely adorable. Bruno sleeping in the bed with his eyes closed, means he is super comfortable and trusting in his home.

Ozzy is a little adventurous looking cutie as well.

    Popcorning: Re: Falling over popcorning?

I know what you mean about sick pigs. Dealing with Sly's dental issues was a 20 month ordeal. When Punkin and Scooter fell ill at the same time, that turned into around the clock feedings for both...

    Popcorning: Re: Falling over popcorning?

I have SO many videos of Scooter doing JUST that as a baby. He and Punkin were such high energy kids and I had never had babies before.

All I can say is enjoy it, because it's fleeting. A year...

The price for surgery will vary with any vet, and prices vary a lot even within the same city. For what it's worth, I would stick with the exotic place because you know they are trained to deal with...

Weight Loss: Re: Piggies losing Weight

  19. Hair Loss: Re: Pulled out a clump of hair when picking up guinea pig

They're most common in sows aged 2-4 years, and studies have found them in 76% of guinea pigs aged 1.5 to 5 years.

I'm not saying it's definitely ovarian cysts. I've never had sows. But hair...
  20. Hair Loss: Re: Pulled out a clump of hair when picking up guinea pig

I'm wondering if it may not have something to do with ovarian cysts. That's what it sounds like to me.

    Sick: Re: Penicillin G Injections

Injected antibiotics are almost always better than oral, for that very reason. It's entirely up to you whether you do the shots or not but if he isn't improving without them, is it worth a try?
