  1. Cage: Re: Cage placement trouble! Or alternative cage?

Rats are pretty agile. I think they would just jump on top. Magnus once got over a 70cm tall cardboard play area i made..

But as long as it doesnt stress the guinea pigs..

  3. Fleece: Re: Wood pellets + 1 layer of fleece - washing machine question?

Is there any way i can check that? Would i be able to smell the bleach afterwards? :)
  4. Fleece: Re: Wood pellets + 1 layer of fleece - washing machine question?

Really good to hear i dont NEED to use vinegar and bleach. :D What about the first time i get the fleece, and have to get it to start wicking? Just detergent is fine too? :)

    I wont be using liners...
  5. Fleece: Re: Wood pellets + 1 layer of fleece - washing machine question?

Our buildings washing machines dont allow you to use your own detergent, softener, anything, hence my question. You can only say yes/no to softener, whites or colors. Now that i think about it, i...
  6. Fleece: Re: Wood pellets + 1 layer of fleece - washing machine question?

So you mean the all 100% free from parfumes, etc, stuff is not strong enough? Maybe i can say no to the detergent as well.

The pillow case idea is great. Solves that problem. :)

    And you mean it...
  7. Fleece: Wood pellets + 1 layer of fleece - washing machine question?

I'm really hoping to get a couple of guinea pigs sometime in august/september, maybe.

Bedding: No car - how to buy hay and bedding?

First - i had guinea pigs for 10 years. I have had none for 3 years now, and instead have 3 rats, which i love. But although rats bond more and are more interactive with you, they dont make as many...

Nails/Nail Trimming: Re: Trimming nails - what age to start?

I would say abot 2-3 månths of age and they should be long enough. But you can always help them getting used to it.. by handling their paws, maybe with the clippers, but without using them :)

how big is a 2x5 cage in cm?

On this website, it says a 2x5 is 75x157cm. On this site, www.candcguineapigcages.co.uk, it says a 2x5 is 77x185. That is a big difference. Is there a real reason, or which is true?
