Chewing: I think my pigs ate a string

So I just discovered that a piece of fleece I used for lap time had a string sewn around the border. It looks like my two girls chewed on the fleece and ate a portion of the string. They also have a...

Feet: Re: Poo stuck in toe nails

Feet: Re: Poo stuck in toe nails

Oh I guess I wasn't very clear. They don't have any live lice - at least not that I can see. But they had a lot of nits (isn't that what the eggs are called?) last time I checked, which was before...

Feet: Re: Poo stuck in toe nails

Update: I've treated them twice with ivermectin, the third treatment will be this Thursday. Last I checked, they still had a ton of lice in their hair, but none on their skin or around their eyes.

Feet: Poo stuck in toe nails

Today I noticed there was something brown packed in one of my piggies nails. I'm assuming it's poo? I tried picking at it a bit with my finger nail, but it seemed really packed in there. My picking...
  8. Cage: Housing boys and girls separately but in the same area

So I have two girls and a boy at the moment. I've been trying to find a new home for the boy, but I'm struggling with that. (Btw anyone in Georgia who's looking to adopt a boy?) Anyways, right now...

Thank you bpatters I guess I'm still just keeping an eye on her to see if she really is pregnant, but I'll make sure she gets plenty of veggies and vitamin C anyways. Thanks for the info!

Possibly Pregnant: Back to back pregnancy risks?

So I adopted my guinea pig Rojo in February, not knowing she was pregnant. I just thought she was fat until I found two babies in her cage in March. I had trouble sexing the babies, and was not...
