    Neutering/Spaying: Re: How long

The general consensus is 4 weeks, to allow time for any remaining sperm to die off.

    Re: Popcorn Free Cali

I am so very sorry for your loss.

Losing our furry babies is always so very hard. Calli is at the Rainbow Bridge now, enjoying new friends and all the fresh veggies she can eat. All while she...

Where do you think mercury is coming from?
Nothing you use for guinea pigs should have anything to do with mercury?

Conditions: Re: XiaoXiao_Smart's Thread of Concern

No, its not weird. Bubbles tend to cling to interior surfaces. I'm not positive of the reason, but something about the interior surface dictates how bubbles will form, and changes to that surface...

Conditions: Re: XiaoXiao_Smart's Thread of Concern

No. Sometimes, the inside surface will be more suited to small bubbles and others there will be larger ones. Its nothing to worry about.

    Nutrition: Re: Bottled water

I would think the Aquafina water will be just fine.

Oh those are cool! Currently, Leo and Simon are exploring the virtues of a pizza box standing in an A frame shape. Loads of fun!

    Hiding: Re: Houses for 2

That's the way it always goes. Extra special money goes on the piggies!
  12. Mouth: Re: Need help Can anyone tell me what this could be on his lip?

Ditto Soecara. I'd watch it to make sure it doesn't get any larger, change colors or anything like that, but it sure seems to be that it's probably boar glue. If it is, it'll disappear all by itself.

Rumblestrutting: Re: Do my boys hate each other?

    Piggie personalities vary greatly.

What you're describing seems like behavior from a couple of boys who get along pretty well. As long as there is NO bloodshed, you're doing ok.

    The first...

Conditions: Re: Rocking back and forth??

I do believe I can see what you're talking about. Do you mean, his head bobbing forward and backward?

This is due to him breathing. Most of my pigs have done this, and have done it MUCH more...
  15. Urine: Re: Blood in cage, excessive drinking, possible stones

Most of us here know the anxiety of having an ill furbaby. The heartbreak of walking past an empty cage just makes it that much worse.

Fingers crossed that your girl improves quickly and...

    Conditions: Re: About the waterbottle

I don't think it's anything you need to worry about. If you've actually broken the bottle, then obviously you'll need a new one.

Re: Not new, but meet new baby girl

There's no telling how long. It really depends on them. If, after a couple of hours they're getting along great, I would make sure Bella's cage is completely clean and doesn't smell like her at all....

Re: Not new, but meet new baby girl

Absolutely. All you need is a fairly large neutral space. I've heard of others using a bathtub in a pinch

Here's the link on how to do introductions:

I've followed it every time, and every single introduction I've done this way has gone perfectly.

Re: Not new, but meet new baby girl

You should quarantine her for a few weeks, yes. Unless you're absolutely certain she's healthy. She'll likely get lonely, where Bella hasn't.

Don't do daily visits, you'll likely just confuse...
