    Fighting: Re: guinea pigs fighting!!!):

It is true that you shouldn't get new pigs if your girl is pregnant. She most likely will have a daughter that you can keep with her. I would also start thinking about long term plans for the babies.

Introductions: Re: New Guinea Pigs Behavior

Yes, they are both the same size. The top has hay, food, water, toys, and hideys and the bottom has room to run.

Introductions: Re: New Guinea Pigs Behavior

On the main page, it says 5x2 is big enough for three pigs. Also, both levels are 5x2. I made sure to do my research. :)

    Fighting: Re: guinea pigs fighting!!!):

Sorry to be blunt, but you can never keep two or more males with a female. They will fight literally to the death. The both want the females attention, so it will never work out. Also, are they...

Fleece: Re: Fleece blankets, towels and how do you do it?

I don't have experience with towels, but my custom pads are a layer of uhaul padding and then a layer of fleece. The uhaul does a really good job absorbing everything. This hasn't made it difficult...

    Introductions: New Guinea Pigs Behavior

    Hello everyone,
Yesterday I finally adopted two females for my neutered male. They all did well with the initial introduction, so I moved them into the cage. They are still together and made it...

Hey! I'm also a completely cavy crazy kid, raising my fur babies out of my own pocket. (Seriously, my parents won't pay one little bit, because they think we have enough pets with three cats and a...

  19. Pregnant: Re: Bratty Cousin maybe bred my FOUR females when i wasnt looking

You mentioned above that you are going to keep three boars with five sows, or at least that is your plan. I don't mean to be blunt, but that most likely will not work. Your boys will fight over the...

Possibly Pregnant: Re: Does she look pregnant?

You've probably got to wait a little longer for the babies to start moving and ballooning, then you'll know for sure.
  21. Pregnant: Re: Bratty Cousin maybe bred my FOUR females when i wasnt looking

I agree with CavyTV. There's no way that you can keep all the babies with that size cage.

General: Re: Adopting 2 New Pigs

Okay, so only two new ones, I don't want to crowd them. I know all about GP introductions, because I did a lot of research when adopting Pax. I figured having the whole new setup would add to Lincoln...

    General: Adopting 2 New Pigs

    Hi Everyone!

So this is kind of just a mix of a bunch of questions I have. I have a 2yr old male guinea pig named Lincoln. I used to have two males, but my other pig, Pax, passed away in April. It...
