I've never had a problem with pit bull terriers. I knew other people had problems with them but I didn't realize the disgusting extent of their bigotry and discrimination.
While I was volunteering, one of the dogs that was approved for the kids, we'll call him "P", a pure pit bull terrier male. Just to be clear, for a dog to be approved for camper interaction, they have to be patient, loving dogs that display no violent behavior. This little guy, P, was very popular with the

Something really bad happened in STL, an animal-friendly apartment caught fire and several animals died because the firefighters wouldn't let some people in to get their animals. The animals rescued were taken to the Humane Society and news crews came. I saw them taking a picture of a boxer with a burn on his leg.
I didn't see anything else because the room where the animals were being kept was quarantined. This happened a week I was volunteering at HSMO so I metaphorically had a front row seat.

This summer I'm volunteering for the local humane society! I feel like I have a strong connection to it because they saved by kitty, Stewart, in 1994. Without them, he probably wouldn't be here!

As I'm under eighteen I can't volunteer in the actual HSMO, I volunteer in the Education Dept. We have fun there
and I have some stories to tell! (Or at least record for my future reference, heh..)

Yeah, so my pig got adopted. I tried to adopt him, but I'm a few months under eighteen, so I couldn't. My parents are on vacation so they couldn't adopt him for their "child". I called my mother and asked if I could have my 23 year old friend adopt him for me, she told me to, "wait". I told her he'd be gone by then and she told me he'd still be there. HSMO wouldn't hold him for me, I thought they'd make an exception for me because I volunteer there, educating children on small

You might have heard, North America is having record temperatures, across America and Canada people are dying, crops are dying and people are being rushed to ERs due to heat sickness. I live in Saint Louis, which is the center of the heat wave in the eastern half of America. It's 110F! As small pet owners how can we combat this? My recommendations:
1. Get a flat marble slab for your animals to lay on, this will keep them cool. If your pig is really overheated, you can put it in the
