Hi I saw that you were on and figured you might know the answer to my question. I don't know why my post has not posted. I just found this site today.

    Anyways here goes:

I just rescued two females from VERY unsanitary conditions and they we're "housed" in TINY cages. My husband built them a two level tower of luxury in one of those giant dog crates.

We introduced them slowly for three days building up playtime here and there, Today I put them both in the same big cage and they both love the cage.

What my question is the brown one who is older by three months (we estimate) follows the younger one smelling her butt and purring.... Is this ok? She purrs all the time now. All day long even when not smelling the other one, but just being around it. Should I seperate them or is that ok. And yes we def. made sure they are both female.

(I had guinea pigs when younger but it's been about 8 years so it's kind of like starting over)
