Hi,
A couple of months ago I posted a message about my cat being run over (sofia) and my other cat (lilly) missing her. We got ninka after sofia died from a shelter and about a month after that lilly went missing. Ninka was knocked over by a car on Sunday and then two foxes chewed up what was left of her. This means I have lost all 3 of my cats in 7 months.

https://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/bromers_01/DSCF0071.jpg here is a picture of ninka who I had for about 4 months.

https://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/bromers_01/IMAG0103.jpg here is a picture of lilly who I had for about 5 years.

https://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/bromers_01/sofia.jpg here is a picture of sofia as a kitten who was almost 10 when she died.

I am just so upset that I have lost all my cats in just a short amount of time.
I loved them all so much.
One of the worst things is when we got ninka she had been microchipped to our house and we was asleep the neighbour called the rspca and they said the chip wasnt working also because they didnt have our adress and that she was new so the nieghbour never knew her the man just told her to put her in the bin because the rubbish men where coming today.

I am thinking abotu complaining to someone about the speeds the people drive at down our road. It's not evan a main road.

I'm sorry you have suffered so much loss in such a short time. Too many of our members are going through this right now that I feel this site is becoming a grief support group.

Maybe you can try to put a sign on your property near the road. Something that says "Please slow down, kids and pets at play".

Other then that I can only recommend that if you get a new cat to try to make it an indoor only cat. That way at least the danger of the road is taken out of the equation.

I'm sorry to hear about your losses. It's hard to lose a beloved pet. I've lost a cat to luekemia before, and I miss her.

Like Voodoo said, perhaps try an indoor cat? Both my cats are indoor as a precaution. Sure, they may be a little chubby, but at least I know they're safe and healthy.

My stepdad is a small animal vet, and he told me once that the average lifespan of an indoor cat is 16 years, and the average lifespan of an outdoor cat is 2 years.

I'm sorry about your cats, it's so hard to lose a pet.

Sorry for your loss but I have to say cats belong inside the house. If you or anyone else decides to allow them outside, well then, that's the chance you take.

I'm so sorry, Bromers! This is just terrible. And cats aren't just indoor pets, some of them may be but those cats I know need to run free and climb trees and hunt mice in the garden. It's a bit heartless to say: "Booh, you got outdoor cats, you see where it takes you." It went well for five and ten years after all.

I am so sorry Bromers for your loss. So many people just don't care how fast they drive! As your area sounds dangerous maybe you should try an indoor cat.

Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss. They were absolutely beautiful kitties, I'm sure they had a wonderful life with you, but I do agree with Jeza and Pennick, having outdoor cats isn't good for the cats or many of the animals around it(a few of our bird populations were endangered from outdoor cats).

Oh, I'm so sorry!

Your guinea pig cage looks very small. Do you have a C&C cage?

Ok First I want to say how sorry I am that you have had some many losses in such a short span of time. Obviously, you came to this forum to share your grief w/ us. And we all have sympathy for you. With that said, I just have to get this off my chest. And I apologize if I'm starting something but....Smileyface Cavy why would you make Bromer feel even worse about saying something about her cavy cage? I don't believe Bromer has posted any pictures of the cage. I realize that a large cage is good for our cavies (mine is huge and growing everyday) but I think you could've shown a little sympathy and kept the last remark until later. Thank you and again I'm sorry for making anyone mad but give Bromer a break!!

I'm sorry if I was alittle harsh last night. (PMS and all) ;) I just think we need to remember to have sympathy for both our human friends and our furry ones. WE all agree that bigger is better but sometimes we need to address other issues at a different time. Sorry again for being so @itchy. :)

Sorry about your loss. I am going to address another issue right now. I think the safety of your pig outways sympathy right now. Why do you have your rabbit in with the pig? Do you not know the dangers of housing them together? I would just hate to read another thread, with you needing sympathy because your piggy was kicked to death by your rabbit. Rabbit have big back feet. They can seriously injur your pig and/or kill him. I am sorry if this offends someone, but I am not going to apologize for giving information. PLease seperate them! Again, I am sorry for your loss of your cat. It is really hard to controll the actions of others or your cat when they are outside.
"Never house a guinea pig with a rabbit. Hundred of guinea pigs are kicked or suffer injuries and stress when rabbit try to mate with them. This will happen if they are housed together."

I kind of know what you're going through. My family has lost 4 cats within the last 15months. However, we don't know what happened to them. Our neighbors knew nothing, the animal shelters didn't have them, the clinic didn't have them..it was like they disappeared. We would have thought that ran away, however, our cats were well behaved and always came home around dusk. One even used sidewalks rather than streets...my family thinks a woman up the street had something to do with it because she hated cats-especially ours because supposedly our dainty, shy female cat named Princess ran at her while she was on her porch and attached her viciously. I am sorry you had to go through this.

Funnypigs before you jump to conclusions I think bomers seperated her pig and rabbit a long time ago. Ask her before you jump to conclusions.

Thats OK, I think that anyone reading this will be able to learn. If you are going to post a picture with a rabbit and g-pig in a cage together, then make it a point to say it is an old picture. Other wise, you are setting yourself up for "educational comments".
