Hi there, guys lol I have made a few posts in this section before already! and I have run into something else I need advise on! I have read through the page on the site about building the cage and have a good idea of the basics of how to put it together. Butt I am not sure how to do the two other levels I want to do for the cage.
I know I want to keep the two other levels the same size as the floor level (2X5) but I am not sure just how to put it together after I have the base floor done. And have the second level be firm enough to stay up so I can do the third level and then a cover for it. (I want a cover because I have a cat in my house and I want the cage to be covered up so she can't jump in with the girls.

I also have a few other thing I want to do with the cage such as making the floor level grids on the front side be able to flap up (kind of like how a garage door would) so that I can get in the cage and clean the bedding out with out taking down half the cage..as well as I want to make some ramps for the girls, that I am hoping to make out of mini grids.
So if anyone has any advise on how to do this it would be greatly aprechiated...if I run into any problems when I begin working on the cage, next weekend I will be sure to post em so I can resolve the problems quickly!
Thanks for reading

(this was the cage I was basing mine off of):

but something like this:

would work too!

How many pigs do you have? Why the need to have such a large cage? Sometimes it's best to start simple and work your way up slowly. You also know that upper levels don't count for overall square footage right?

While multi-story cages are nice, they are also a pain to clean (I've had 2 and 3 level cages).

Well I am adopting three girls in about two or three weeks from now and I decided that instead of making a really wide cage that I would rather have something that went up a lil since that would fit into an area in my house a lot better. Also I wanted to try doing a leveled cage just cuz I liked the look of them. lol I know that seems like odd reason but that was kind of my idea of what to go for at first and I think I would like to keep to it..if at all possible. I just need some helpful advise on how to do the leveling is all..I do think I had heard the up levels don't count I just didn't know how exactly it was applied...if my idea for the cage is not as good as it could be please by all mean give me some better advise so that I can make this work out for the better.
I have gone over how big the main floor space should be with three girls and most people said I should do something at 2X5 so I know I am going to stick to that and I really want a three floor cage...but as to the sizing of the other levels and how to put it together I am not entirely sure!
And as to the cleaning comment that was why I was trying to think of creative ways to get the panels to possibly move and lock together like a type of door so it could easier to get into and clean out!
