Hey, my mom wants to know if orchard grass, and eastern timothy are the same or as good as timothy hay. SO she was wondering and I didn't want to give her a bad answer so I thought i would ask you people.:eye-poppi

Timothy is timothy no matter if it's name is Eastern Timothy or Western Timothy. The Eastern and Western just describes where it's grown. Orchard grass is a different type of hay but just as good. Both are fine to feed.

So long as it's grass hay it doesn't matter too much. The guinea pig favorites are usually timothy, orchardgrass, and bluegrass. All of these are equally good for guinea pigs and there are a few other grass hays you can feed. It doesn't really matter where it's grown.
