Welcome to the forum! Cute piggy!

I edited your post to take out the cage picture since it didn't meet the minimum standards for cage size promoted by this site. You might want to take a look at the Main tab at the top of the page for size recommendations.

Minimum is about 8 Sq feet. So 8 kitchen floor tiles of.space. Fits 1 to 2 piggies. How big was your cage

Please don't be offended. We all.learn somehow. My first piggy cage for 4 was a standard my first pet cage. It was a disaster. I got overwhelmed and gave the piggies back. My second time around. I got the right cage size. They were more fun

hello and welcome to gpc
:D
have you thought about getting him a friend???
guinea pigs are very social animals and need to be kept in pairs at minimum.
not lecturing here, i promis.
just thought you should know that's all.
looking forward to getting to know you and your pig

How about a divider. Mid way. Side by side.friendship through a wire is still better. They can chat. I had one that was aggressive. Over food water beds everything. Some piggies are loners. But. Maybe a neighbor?

Welcome to the forum! I'm a owner of 6boys and 2 girls. Your cage looks fine to me honestly. I'd get it off the floor so the possibilities of dust and 'giant scaryness' doesn't/won't occur. Your boy looks so much like mine, Mousey! Although he's a crested, they do look alike :) welcome to the forum! If you have any questions, let us know :D

There's nothing wrong with a cage set up being at floor level. Frankly, I think it's safer that way if you handle your guinea pigs a lot since there's less chance of them jumping out from a raised cage. I have a double decker cage and the bottom level is at floor level. I purposely have my skittish one down there with her companions because she squirms when I pick her up.

The smaller cages are easy to take apart to reassemble to build a larger cage.

@PEBBLES83, if you'll post the name of the city and state you're closest to, we'll be happy to help you find pigs to adopt.

Richmond, British Columbia.

I'm hoping for a pair of girls. But I'd also like to add at least one more boy to my boys cage
