I am happy to say that within the month I went from one piggy to 4 lovely girls. My first pig was obtained from a girl that re-homed her pig because she simply did not bond with it. Then I found a baby and the made the perfect pair. I recently got another pair of babies that were owned by a 6 yr old that decided she wanted a ferret. Go figure.

My pigs are in a playpen most of the day and seem to get along- No one has ever tried to bite. I want to build a c&c cage using knock off Whitmore grids from walmart. I need to utilize the most space so a multi level is necessary. I also have two young kids, so keeping a closed top is also a must. I am a little confused on how to create an easy access to the base of the cage. Any suggestions and pictures would be appreciated. I have never built one, so I am hoping the more experience cavy owners out there could contribute! Thanks!!

For 4 pigs you will need atleast a 2x6.

Ditto. For 4 pigs, you will need at least 2x6, or 3x4.

These are some of the designs that I like.

Thanks! I have not seen one like this, or at least with the cage open to see the details. I will have to contact them to find out how it was supported. Looks like with some framework and shelving, but I would like to know more details. This is the look I am going for-very simple and clean.
