Hi Everyone :)

I have a quick question, i am lucky enough to have a friend who is a carpenter and he has offered to build a cage for my girls. We have them in a C & C cage but i want them to have more room to run. I am thinking of doing some kind of wood playpen like the one i attached. What do you all think? Also what would i use for the walls around it? Im going to put coroplast on the bottom. Also going to use fleece in the main area and for the bathroom area care fresh. Im just confused as to what to use for the walls around it. Can i use some kind of wire mesh if i put the coroplast up so their feet dont get hurt? Cant wait to start building it, its going to be almost 7 feet long and 3 feet wide :) The sides are going to be about a foot up (is that correct lol) Thanks!!

I would make the sides just a bit taller than a foot, like 14 inches maybe? Also, if they have access to the wood frame when they're in the cage, that could be a concern especially if its painted. It looks like a nice home, though.

Yea my girls will love it. They are active lil things. They have a normal size cage now, but i think with this one they will have a lot more fun running around

Make plexiglass sides and leave the top open for airflow like a regular cage.

Yea i was going to leave it open. With plexiglass i will need to put something in there to hold the water bottle and hay bin  Also how thick should the plexi be do you know? Sorry for all the questions :)

I would get a water bottle with suction cups and put that on the plexi-glass. Im not sure how thick the glass should be.

I just googled water bottles and they have one that can go over the wall like this (broken link removed) so i think that will work, i was thinking suction cup too tho. I will look for the 150mm, def do not want them breaking anything lol
