So love the C&C cages but haven't been able to find the cubes. So I decided to build this one instead. It's roughly the same size as a 2x4 cage (I had one a few years ago before I moved interstate).

Haven't kitted it all out yet, but will be doing that tonight. Picking up my new girl from @cheffette tomorrow, so Maya will love into this cage and the new girl will be quarantined in my room until ready to move in with Miss Maya.

Opinions? Suggestions!

Looks good. I like the lids.

What are you using for the waterproof bottom?

It's a heavy duty tarp. I used one as a makeshift garage at one point in an old rental and it kept everything dry through storms etc. cost me $12. I cut it to just a bit bigger than the cage, then tied the corner onto the cage, which pulled the sides up slightly. Then there is fleece on the ground, which I will double up on tomorrow because it is pretty thin and I think it needs to be thicker.

Just fleece and tarp? You might want to add an absorbent layer under fleece.

Yeah sorry, forgot to mention the puppy toileting pads.

Am also looking at adding a second level as it isn't quite a 2x4. Couple cm short width wise.
