C&C Preparing Cage

Hi, just have a question about the layering for the C&C cage!

My GP is kind of litter trained in that she only poops on the bedding half of the cage. I will probably get a C&C cage soon. How should I layer the fleece & can I just use normal fleece with nothing underneath other than coroplast if I keep a portion for the bedding and my guinea pig knows to go there?

I'd say no, on the no-layer question. If you were using coroplast you'd do the coro, absorbent layer (u-haul pad, towels, puppy pads, etc.), then the fleece. Make sure the fleece is 100% polyester, and you have to wash it 3+ times before it begins to wick moisture.

If you are sure your pigs won't pee on the fleece at all, it should be fine to use only fleece. Just to be safe, it won't hurt to use uhaul pads under the fleece.

I'll put something underneath for a while if I purchase the new cage, for at least until i can confirm it~

Old towels will work under the fleece. Plus you'll be able to see if there are pee stains if you use white towels.
