Hello all,
I am the proud mom of 6 female guinea pigs. I adopted my first baby, Lucy, when I went into a pet store and saw her sitting all alone in a 10-gallon tank. I didn't really know much about guinea pigs at that time, but I fell instantly in love with her and felt bad that she was in such a small cage. The pet store let me take her for free because apparently someone had returned her.
Since that time I have expanded my brood and learned so much about guinea pigs. I have learned that they each have SUCH distinct personalities, and likes/dislikes. I also found this website and learned about the requirements for a proper cage. I love looking at everyone's pictures of their cages and getting inspiration for my own piggies' cages!
I currently have 4 adult females - Lucy, Keegan, Tallulah, & Izzy - in a large 2x6 C&C cage, and 2 baby females - Layla and Anna - in a 2x2, which I know is too small -- I will be expanding to a 2x4 (hopefully with a patio) in the very near future. I also had another sweet angel named Bailee, who was unfortunately born with congenital defects - she didn't live very long, but I like to think I gave her the best life possible while she was with me.
I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone! Will post pictures soon!
