Hello! My Cody hasn't been uniformly poo-ing lately, so I was thinking he didn't get enough hay, but when he went to go rub his butt on the ground I could see his anal sac open so he could leave his scent and I saw some poop in there, would it do any harm if I cleaned his anal sac and then see how it goes or should I take him to a vet.

It won't do any harm to give him a clean, no.

He is hunched up sometimes to, I'm going to try it this afternoon.

You don't have to take him to the vet for impaction. That's just something you would do to help at home.

Does he hunch up when going poop? If so, it's possible he has a bladder stone and needs to see a vet.
