Our little baby (1 week old) seems to be limping. We're taking her to the vet either tomorrow or Tuesday, but were wondering if anyone here knew what could be wrong.

What she ok when she was born? Like no birth defects or anything?

Is she getting enough Vit C you think? I'd supplement vit c for a few days, and if it doesn't help, perhaps an x ray?

Could she have hurt herself somehow?

Good luck with the vet.

She seemed perfect...still does except for her front left leg. At first we thought it was wierd because she leg seemed shorter than the others, but she's curling it up. She has started eating lettuce but still only drinks from her mommy (we haven't seen her drink from the bottles anyways). She doesn't appear to be in pain though...

If she is only 1 week old then it is possible that she was injured during her birth.

What is your cage setup like? Are there any places which she may have jumped off and landed awkwardly on her leg? Have you tried feeding her some red pepper (very high in Vitamin C)?

Taking her to the vet will be the best thing you can do. There could be any number of problems going on from injury to birth defect.
