My guinea pig Snuggles has always had a pinkish foot.. but now it looks more red to me. Her sister Snickerdoodle doesn't show these signs. They have fleece bedding that is changed weekly and pooper scooped daily. She doesn't seem in pain or uncomfortable. She is active and healthy just like her sister. What could be causing it? What should I do? please help, thank you!

Some pigs have redder feet than others, and some will develop a red spot like yours did. You can try wiping the foot with a damp cloth, then rubbing cold pressed coconut oil into it -- you can get that at any grocery or pharmacy. You could also try a new laundry detergent, as well as putting an extra absorbent layer where they spend the most time and changing those more frequently than the fleece. If that doesn't clear it up, read (broken link removed) for more treatment ideas.

Maybe it's just me, but I get an ERROR page when I click on that link
