what do you all use? I can't figure it out by the pictures. I have a 3x5 cage. I have enough grids to do a small loft area. I am not sure how to support it though. I thought more grids as the floor but that doesn't seem sturdy and I don't have enough grids for the floor of the top level, only the sides. What else could I use? How are the top levels usually supported/resting on the lower level?

I don't know if you can tell from the picture but I put a piece of the cage under the long part of the L shape of my top level It's right next to the ramp.

You could use wooden dowels for support.

2x2 lumber. You can get them at Lowes, Home Depot or other lumber store.

wood strips for support makes it so you don't need to put the supports in the cage. You can also use broom handles and dowels. Anything that is stiff and fits thru the bars or that can be whittled down on the ends to fit in the grid holes. Doing it this way means that you don't need to put any legs or vertical supports in the cage.

wonder bars only fit in a 2 grid deep cage. They really should make a 3 grid wide version!
