As I have limited space to work with, I am considering building a "cavy cage" 3 grids high, but one grid wide for two rescue degus I will soon be adopting.
I would build several levels, and probably attach their wheel directly to a wall.
Does this sound like a sufficient 2-degu living space? I just haven't the room to build a larger cage, and I figure that a cage like this would be appreciated more than one of those plastic/wire "starter homes" they sell in pet stores...
