Gotta love my husband, he came home from work and walked into my mess as I was revamping the cage again... didn't bother to even question my motives. After it was done he said "So let me get this straight... we lost even more room to the Guinea Pigs?" Hahahaha, uh, yeah.

The boys have a 2x4 with a 1x2 "L" added on for the kitchen area, so technically a 2x5 now. And of course, their mini lofts.

Up top the girls have a 2x4 with kitchen inset. They originally had a 1x2 upper loft kitchen but it was too heavy with the wood pellets and was hard to support, this works much better. So they can have a "loft" too I made them a simple 1x1 loft play spot. I threw their tunneling fleece up there and they had fun crawling through it and it still provides a nice "dark" area underneath in the kitchen area that they love.

Very nice, it doesn't seem to take up too much room. I'm sure they will need revamping again and take up even more room lol :)

Length wise I ran out of room, there's a standup freezer out of the picture and I can't fit another row of grids that way... That's why I expanded the lower cage into a slight L instead. I had to get creative! Lol. I can't go further on the L though either as there is a table there. Booo!

Hahaha that's what I say too! Unfortunately now only one child can use the homework table at a time because the cage takes up the second chair spot. Oops.
