In Heat URGENT! It is 82 degrees in my house!

Is this bad? My guinea pig is in a cage that has bedding a cuddle cup a hidey thing and a food bowl and water bottle! Please give tips and tell me what to do!!!!:(

Frozen water bottles or hard ice packs. Something the guinea pigs can't chew up.

that is quite high, I would be concerned with them over heating.

Ditto, frozen water bottles. If you can put some plates in the fridge for a bit and then put them in the cage, they can lay on them or next to them to cool down.

I've used the frozen water bottles.
I put them in 2-3 socks and put them in the cage.

Is the AC broken? Is that why it is so hot or is this an on going thing for the summer?

it is april and i have the fan on and my piggie is on my lap with a towel under him along with a ice pack.

You've got to keep the temperature in the cage at 85 degrees or less. Guinea pigs can die of heat stroke above that temperature. You can keep them cool with frozen ice packs, or a fan (don't let it blow directly on them), or by putting it in a cooler place. Are they in your house, or outside?

These are all really great ideas. I'm wondering too how to keep the Guys cooler this summer.
