Cage New home!

Very nice! how many pigs will be in there?

Looks pretty good. How many grids large is the cage? I'd be a bit concerned without any grids along the sides. What did you find to use underneath the fleece as your absorbant layer?

4 by 2 and there are grids but I don't have the room to assemble it until the old cage is removed.I lined the bottom with some small animal cage liners and U-Haul blankets on top of those

That didn't last long. They pulled the hay box down and toppled the 'litter' box over. :-/

Aw, you could try cutting holes in the hay box and putting zip ties through them and connecting it to the cage like that so they cant pull it down.

I tried using the same thing as a litter box and it didn't work either. They"d knock it over or push it around the cage. I ended up buying one of those corner litter pans and took out the metal tray thing that sits on top of it. It worked out great for my girls.

I'lol have to look for one. I should have figured something from the dollar store wouldn't work out

I use those as hidies lol I was in a pinch when we took in some more piggies from someone that desperately needed them gone. They work surprisingly well as a house!

Hmmm could try that...think they might be a bit big to fit

Zip tying the box ended badly. One of my guys found his inner ninja and jumped into the box. I was on my way out and was worried he would try getting out and hurt himself ....so cut that down
