My little brother moved out a couple weeks ago on Superbowl Sunday, and since then my mom and I have been working hard to turn Austin's old room into the pig's room. When I had the pigs in my room, they had two 3X3 C&C cages and one 2X3 C&C cage. Now that they have the whole room, they have a 5X6 C&C cage split into three 2X5's. I ran out of zip ties, so the cage isn't finished yet, but when it is I'll post on this thread again. I'll probably upload a video of it on YouTube, and if I'll try to put the link in here, too.
I love your pig room! My husband and I did just about the stupidest thing ever and rented out BOTH are spare bedrooms!!! As soon as someone moves out I'm going to do a pig room!
i've thought about it because i have a spare bedroom upstairs that i could turn into a "pig room" but then i wouldnt have them chittering and chattering and running around behind me in the office while i work :/ i'm so torn - but your cages are wonderful! i bet they are so happy!
I have five; two neutered boys and three girls. Both of the boys lives with one girl, except Marybell, who has to be by herself because she doesn't like any of the others.
Thank you, everyone, for the positive feedback. It really makes my day. The pigs love their new cage; all of them have been popcorning all over in it! I even heard Guinness chirping this morning.
If I don't get snowed in tomorrow, I'll run out and get more supplies and finish it. More to come, so stay tuned!
It's coming along great! I'm making fleece forests for the pigs right now and I'm finishing their upstairs. I'm hoping to finish tomorrow if I'm not too tired from my horse riding lessons.
It's finally done! It took almost a week to make, and I finally finished it this morning. All that's left to do is put it on YouTube. I'll put the link on this thread, too. The pigs love their fleece forests and they love their new cage!
I ended up having to make the cage into 3 separate 2X5 cages, because I couldn't clean and change it well. I also took the upstairs out, because only 1 of the 5 pigs actually used it. It's much roomier in their cages now, and they still have their fleece forests and new toys. They still love their new homes.
As promised, here's the YouTube link:
we have an extra room now and would love to make it a piggy room. but clinton wants them in the living room since we spend a lot of time in there so that they can get socialization while they r in their cage
