I'm switching to fleece and my current hayrack lets them pull too much hay onto the cage floor. I have some ideas about making sides for it, but I want to please see pictures of what everyone else uses and maybe I'll make a whole new rack.

This is mine. I used one of those grids that came with the hooks on it, bent it and covered the sides in left over coro. They can pull some out of it, but in my expirience they clean it all off of the fleece within a night anyways.

This is the one I had in 2011. It was an L shape.

Here is some more old photos of hay racks I have used in the past:

Not so much a rack as just a box of hay.

I liked that because I could add as much as I wanted for that herd (5 girls).

This one was a tote bin I wasn't using for anything. Worked GREAT!

I was considering either making a hay rack like this or a hay bag. I like this rack style, but it looks awfully small. Did it work for you?

I also must pop in and recommend hay bags. They're cute, easy to fill, any hay dust collect at the bottom of the bags for easy disposal.....oh my gosh they're just the best thing ever!

I love the haybag idea. I gave away my sewing machine recently, but I could hand sew one. Would love step by step directions.

It was good for two pigs tops! Any more and I was refilling it every few hours. :/

I agree! I love that aspect of it! It also helped with my dust allergies because I am not sweeping nearly as much hay dust now.

I'm hoping to have a step by step in the new year. Tip though, make sure you have an iron and don't use flannel or fleece on the inside. It likes to "grab" the hay making it harder for the pigs to pull out.

I use this one:

Except my boyfriend cut out every other bar so it was easier for Poncho to get the hay. Other than that, no complaints here. I like it a lot. c:

I don't have pics but mine is a bent grid with a piece of coroplast on the back (the side that it attaches to the cage) and on the ends. They still pull the hay through the front and track it everywhere though lol
