Hair Loss Hair mising behind ears?

I just read the previous thread and noticed that both of my guinea pigs have bald spots behind there ears. I thought before that since they were both abys that it could just be a cowlick sort of thing. It does not seem to be dry or itchy but how (if you guys think i should) treat them for mites, lice ect. I dont think it is necessaryt to take them to the vet but i will try to get photos so I can have your opinion.

I saw someones blog on this site and it showed pictures of there guinea pig when it had mites. i am going to try to get a treatment seeing how this appears to be the problem still wanting advice from you though!

George also has bald spots behind his ears, but I read somewhere that it was normal?

A blad spot behind the ears is 100% normal.

Yup! All three of my girls have a bald patch behind their ears, no worries!

Most guinea pigs do have a bald patch behind their ears. This is commonly where topical mite treatment is applied.
