Hello all! I had an idea that I wanted to do for my guinea pigs, but thought I would see what you all think about the idea....
I want to put a box of growing grass inside the cage. I would actually like to get/build a 2 story cage. On the bottom, I wanted to either do the whole thing or at least half of it in growing grass. (Good soil...untreated grass seeds...sun lamp few hours a day...) and do the top floor with fleece. I would probably put the hay rack and water bottle on the bottom where the grass is growing...Up top I would put fresh foods and hammocks and toys and such. Anybody see anything wrong with any of that? Good idea? Bad idea? I really appreciate any help! :)

It will probably get dirty very quickly. You'd also have to keep several trays to rotate them out.

I agree with lissie. There will be no way to clean it out.
