ok, so i dont get this. Ive read about using vacumes and how they are so great and get everything, but how does it not mess up your fleece. I bought a recommended vacuum and it sucks up my fleece more than the poos. Does anyone else have this problem? What can i do about it? sugestions please:)!

I use my vacuum hose at an angle so it doesn't suck the fleece up.

i use a hand held one that has a little piece that flips out so it doesnt suck up the fleece or i lay the vacuum hose on its side too.

I use a wet/dry shop vac that will take my coroplast, all layers of towels/uhaul and fleece up if I use it the "right" way, instead I just flip the edging piece upside down and it works perfectly. Strong enough to pick up everything but the suction power is lost since the smaller opening end is on top.

I gave up on using a vacuum. I couldn't stand how smelly the vacuum got and couldn't clean out the areas I couldn't reach. I sweep and shake the fleece out. If something really sticks, I take a small piece of uhaul pad to wipe it off or remove it with my fingers. It doesn't take that long and I have four 2x4 C&Cs.

I use broom and dust pan too. Easier because you can keep it right by cage and don't have to lug the vacuum out every time I want to spot clean. It doesn't eat my fleece either :D

I bought a little vacuum and decided I liked sweeping better too. It really doesn't take that long to do it that way.

I used my vaccum but my girls like interacting with the pan and broom. Plus they're really scared of the vaccum.

I remove piggy when I vacuum his cage. I use the hose but I put it at a slanted angle so it won't suck up the fleece. You can try using the hose and lay it down on it's side and move it near the poop. If you do it that way the hose won't such up the fleece.

THankyou all so much. The slanted hose idea helped alot. I may go back to scooping up the poops with a spoon. Ill see how it goes.:)
