Hi Dale
Welcome to the forum & congrats on Scott's new companion
& good on you caring enough to look for info!
First of all... have you been to: cavy cages which is the base site for this forum
The site tells you everything about C&C cages, how to make them, where you might find the materials, dif things you can do to individualise the cage & stacks of pictures!!!!
C&C stands for Cubes & Coroplast as they are made of Cubes (as you know
) & Coroplast, which is a hevy duty but lightweight corogated plastic sheet that is known for use in signs & display boards (In Australia most of the Real Estates use it for their "For Sale" signs). But it is starting to become popular for other uses (Cages!!!
, Packaging, Model Aircrafts, Pushbike baskets/shields)
Coroplast is actually the name of the product when it comes from the Coroplast company! You also might find it under another name... Corflute, Coroflute, Cadflute, Fluteboard, Correx, Corex, etc... If you look at the pictures & get an idea of what it is & what it looks like you can identify it from another company by another name
loomis and toles is aparently a net art supply company that delivers in Canada. Or try your local sign making company, plastics company, art/craft supply store, Home-Improvement store, glass store (they might use it as packing between the glass!), or even a second hand piece from a real estate agent! Or seach the net for "Coroplast" (or other names) or "Plastic" (for a plastics company that might sell it). & when you do find it... please come back to cavy cages & put in the details of where you did so others can find it too!
Good luck on finding your materials & have fun making your new cage
& all the best luck with caring for your son's new friend
