Hi everyone,
I was just wondering what people are using to clean the scent gland area of a piggy? Patrick's area is kind of gummy and I just tried to wash him with some guinea pig shampoo from Chuck & Don's but it wouldn't remove it and I did suceed in really ticking him off. I made sure I rinsed and dried his bum properly but I really think that area is bothering him. He really squeals when I rub or touch it and was really trying to bite me. Any suggestions of something that is non-toxic?
Thanks!
Kristi

Try using coconut oil. You can get it at a organic food store

I use a shampoo from my vets office for cats and dogs.

It works like a charm.

By scent gland I assume you mean grease gland ? :s
