Upper Levels Thinking about making a second floor but need help !!!

Ok so my 2 girls have a 3 X 3 c&c cage but I want to make it into a 2 story 4X2! They used to have it but I took it down because it sagged and wasn't that sturdy !! I have 50 grids but only like 20 connectors because my sister gave them to me but she lost some of the connectors . So should I use connectors to make the floor on the second level ?? Please help !!!

If you don't have enough connectors, you can just use zip ties.

To make the cage sturdy, you can use 2x2 wood to support the cage.

Why not make a 1x3 loft? and if you need more connecters you can buy them here: (broken link removed)

I wanted to mention that on my 2story I used plywood covered with a vinyl table cloth for the base instead of coroplast. It gives it a very sturdy base for them to walk on. Good luck!
