Lap pads

I am gonna make my own lap pad does someone have a good suggestion
for the bottom?Right now I am thinking about using a shower curtain.

what about one of those cheap vinyl placemats?

For mine I use two layers of UHaul furniture pad and a layer of fleece all sewn together. If it's thick enough, it absorbs all the moisture and you don't need anything underneath to protect your lap.
