Hello everybody. I was reading through the forums here and thought it would be nice to register here since I just got guinea pigs yesterday! I have two right now. They are Texels! Yes they are both girls and really sweet. I am not holding them yet because they need to get used to the place. I have them in a 2x5 cage because I had extra grids so I might as well just make their cage bigger right? Well they seem to be getting along just fine. Here are some pictures.

I named them after goddesses. The first is Aphrodite, because she looks like she has an Afro and Aphrodite has Afro in the beginning obviously. Then the second is Athena. Well hope to meet you all. And thank you for reading!

They are very cute pigs! You're going to make sure you brush their fur out every day otherwise there is a big risk of getting matted.

@CavyMama Yes I know. I plan to brush their fur out everyday. I just took that picture when I got home from picking them up yesterday. But then I brushed their hair. I should have brushed their hair then taken the picture. I guess I was just too excited! Thank you.

Lol! I brushed their hair out after I took the picture. I should have done it the other way around! I was just too excited!

Welcome to the forum! Your pigs are beautiful! I've never felt a texel's fur...oh and I love their names the most!!!!! (Greek mythology is one of my favorites)

Thank you so much! I am having a blast with my piggies! They are so much fun! Before I got them I was a volunteer for a shelter! I loved all the piggies there.
