I am in the process of building my first C&C cage...so excited!...and have worked out a configuration of 2x4 with a 2x1 extra bit so that it's in the shape of an L (This is mainly so I can open the door from my kitchen to the living room!)

So my question is about the corroplast - since the cage is not square, is it still possible to just use 1 piece of corroplast or will I need 2...one for the main area and another for the extra bit?

Many thanks in advance for your advice!

With a full 4'x8' sheet of coroplast you should be able to cut it such that you get a sheet big enough for your 2x4 and have enough left over for a 1x2 box.
