I'm started looking into adoption for some more piggies. I've found two boys west of me over an hour away. They were given up because the previous owner's cat was trying to get them. However, I have my eyes on two named Pancake and Marmilade that are east of me. Poor Pancake was abounded with a litter and then when he got adopted, the family had to move and now he's back at the shelter. Plus the names get me you know Pancake and Marmilade and I have Cookies & Cream and Smores. Get the names so far?

You are making me hungry...I may have to eat all your cute pigs...stop naming them after food!

Think that is bad, two brothers I was looking at up in Madison are named: Oreo and Snickers.

Nugget is the front runner. I just talked to the woman at the shelter about him and he can get moved from the family to the shelter near me this weekend. Since they are 10 minutes from there and I'm 30. Less of a drive.

Nugget looks like he may be a satin! I like Marmilade the tort, and Oreo the badly marked Dalmation. Oreo is a cute little tort teddy, and Pumpkin is a gorgeous broken coronet!

Nugget is my favorite, along with Pumpkin.

Yeah, Pumpkin is a big cutie. I'm trying to see him too.

Pumpkin would be great for you, you need to spend lots of time grooming long haireds.

Having a family that owns 3 toy poodles, I know a few things about grooming. I'm surprised no one has said anything about Pancake.

I love them all! Especially Pancake, Oreo, Marmilade, Pumpkin and Coco... But it's really if you have a connection with them... Are you going to visit them?

I'm having an argument with my landlord. They don't want me to get anymore guinea pigs.

Oh no. Tell him they don't take anymore space than the two you have.

They are more worried about odor then anything. I'm working it out later tonight.

We had the conversation and it's a go. The smell that has been bothering her was the sump pump in the basement. I clean out that cage twice to some times three times a week. From minor to full cleaning. She herself smelled around and everything. And found out there was no smell. So, I'm a go for the time being. I'm waiting for my adoption application and email from the foster family.

Yay! I am happy Ryan. Are you getting one or two? Make sure you quarintine or get a full health check, and prepare if they don't get along.

Good luck! Let us know who your decision will be.

RyanR
06-03-05, 09:06 pm
Well the full health check is given before the adoption is complete. They want to make sure you are taking home a happy and healthy animal and not screw you over with it having mites, or a tumor or something like that. Just in case I do have the neccessary materials for quarentine we'll see how things go the next few days.

Yay, so which one are you most likely going to get?

Nugget is at the very top. Love his pesonality and he is looking for a good home. I'm hoping to hear from them by Sunday. They are having a big pinic for the shelter on Sunday. However, my brother is finishing 8th grade and my cousin graduates from high school that day. So I can't make the drive to the picnic however I'm suppose to go see Nugget on Friday.

Well, no adoption paper yet, I have to call them again if I don't have in my email box by tomorrow. Crossing the fingers here.
