I have a young (4-5 months old) boar who I'm keeping separate from my sow until I get him neutered. I had let them sniff each other a few times and I notice this sort of nasty musky smell he does? He starts to purr and walk slowly (lol...trying to seduce her...?) and then BAM!!! you smell this gross smell!
When I first got him it was much worse, he would smell for longer even if I kept changing his cage. Now it's only when he sees my female pig will this smell come about. Is this just him 'spraying' his scent or something? Just wanting to know why he does this and if it's normal. Also, does the smelliness go down after they get neutered? Poor fella' is a smelly little pig, any tips on preventing him from spraying a lot? (I've heard that you should keep an object that he has marked in his cage each time you clean it out so he won't feel the need to remark everything?)

Yep, that's boar stank, or boar perfume.

It's very normal, and likely worse because he knows there's a girl pig in the vicinity. Not to say that he wouldn't be doing it anyway, just maybe not as much.
