Hey! My name is Gina and I recently adopted a skinny pig, whom i've named Lanolin. I've owned skinny/guineapigs in the past, however this is my first experience with owning a male pig!

Anyways, im happy to be here, and look forward to participating on, and learning from, the posts :D

Hey! Thanks so much for the replies!

I used to work at the humane society in my city, so I have connections :P He came in with his brother (an albino), and someone adopted him before I got a chance to. Luckily, they returned him when they discovered they were allergic to him! I scooped him right up before someone else had the chance, since I fell in love with him right from the get-go :3

I will post pictures as soon as I get home (i'm in class right now, working on being a bad student haha)

Aww... there was someone trying to rehome a skinny on craig's list over here I was tempted but now is not the time. =(

I can't wait to see yours!! Skinnies are so cute!

Ya, they are! He is my second one! My first one was a lady pig (named Chahulahoop), but unfortunately she died a few months after I got her :( I'm not sure what happened, one morning I just found her snuggled up in her fleece, dead. My three other lady pigs were ok, and she had nothing outwardly wrong with her when I found her, so I assumed it was the result of bad breeding rather then an illness. It was horribly sad, she was a great girl.

Ohhh is he cute! Love the name too. I think Lanolin is a brand name of either a handsoap or a moisturizer (maybe both!). Love the pics!
