Hey everyone,
If you havnt already seen some of my other posts you'll probably be getting to know me a bit better because I am coming up with lots of questions and problems etc.
One I am stuck on right now is actually making a c&c cage.... I have housed my rabbit and guinea pigs outside now for the part 3 years, and they have grown up fine. There is no safety risk as I have Taken all the precautions of getting specialty wire for the cage to make sure snakes etc don't get in. I know this is highly not recommended however I go to a lot of effort to ensure their safety while keeping it a fun fresh environment for them.
So here is my problem, I have just finished a new hutch for my female guinea pigs, of which I spent every day of the week I had off slaving over. I put them in it this afternoon, and they absolutely love all the space they have now.
It is fairly the same deal with my boys cage, it is only around 1 1/2 years old or not even that. They are massive hutches, they are both A frames, with a raised and enclosed bedding area filled with heaps of hay to keep them warm. The specs are (very close estimate): Girls - 1.2m x 0.9m x 1m Boys - 1.8 x 1 x 1.2 (LxWxH)
The boys cage is bigger because it has to house the rabbit also...
Now onto the important part; I have all the cubes I need, however the only shop where I live that sells conflute only sells it in 900x900mm (I think) so its isn't the big rolles like you get in America. The other problem I have is that since I just built them a missive new cage out of wood ( I even painted it blue - might upload some pictures ), I don't see the point of having to build a c&c cage. It is coming into summer here In aus and I have a feeling there will be some stupidly hot days, and they might need a place to come inside a chill out for a bit, but that's the only reasoning can think of having to build a new cage for them...
So yeah, hit me up with what you think and any designs that may help me in deciding because space will also affect the decision
Thank you all for taking the time to read this super long thread :S
