My name is Yasmeen. I'm sixteen and I live in the sunshine state! Really loving this site! :) I want to learn how to build a different piggie home that's comfy for my guinea pig Jackson which I had for a year now. Just wanted to say hi to all the members! :)

Hey! Thank youu! :) Yup that's him alright! I actually found this site earlier today its a bit confusing at first but I soo love it! I was wondering is it hard building a c&c cage? That's so awesome you built one! :) I'm a bit confused on how to build it with the coroplast (I think it's called) LOL! Like what are the basics of building one?

Mimi59, if you look at the main page for this site, Guinea Pig Cages, Your Cavy At Home (http://www.guineapigcages.com), there's lots of info on the materials and instructions needed for building a cage.

Here is the link to my diary - http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/introduce-yourself/63945-curly-pig-diary.html There is a pic of my current cage (which is awaiting fleece liners! yay!) It's a 5x2 grid with a 1x5 second level. This cost me right at $50 to build and took me about 2 hours.
It was very easy, I used zip ties instead of the connector things. You can use either, to me, zip ties are more sturdy and look better.
All you do is pick the size of cage you want and just start building it, its pretty much self explanatory, you'll figure it out when you start connecting the grids.
As far as the coroplast, I bought a 8ft x 4ft (1st floor) and a 8ft x 2ft (2nd floor). What you do is take a razor and score the coroplast to the size you need. Make sure to include the edges in your measuring and then you fold it. Its very simple, I cant really explain it well so take a look here if your still confused lol - About Cages (http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/about-cages/) and here is the cage pics and stuff which have stuff on coroplast so you can see how its done - Guinea pig photos and cage photos for guinea pigs - Guinea Pig Cage Photos (http://www.guineapigcages.com/photos/)

Hope all this helped, if you have anymore questions, ask :cheerful:
