10½ square feet is suitable for a pair of guinea pigs.

From your post it seems like you only have one guinea pig. If possible you should consider adopting another from a shelter or a rescue. Guinea pigs are very social herd animals and benefit from having a friend.

If you do get another try to stay clear of pet stores and check the sex of the pig very well.

My guinea pig just had a baby so i wont need to worry about that.
